Al-AHSA — In a commanding performance, Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned Portuguese footballer, spearheaded Al-Nassr’s triumph with an impressive hat-trick, securing a decisive 5-0 win against Al-Fateh during the third round of the Saudi Pro League.
This victory marked a significant turnaround for Al-Nassr, as they clinched their first win of the season after two prior losses.
The star-studded team now claims the tenth spot on the league table, accumulating a total of three points. On the opposing end, Al-Fateh remains stationed in eighth place with four points.
Sadio Mane set the pace by netting the opening goal in the 27th minute, swiftly followed by Ronaldo’s contribution with a goal in the 38th minute. In a stellar comeback, Ronaldo secured his brace and the team’s third goal in the 55th minute. The momentum continued with Mane notching the fourth goal in the 81st minute. Ronaldo’s remarkable performance culminated in a hat-trick, sealing the match with a fifth goal in the sixth minute of extra time in the second half.
Elsewhere in the league, Al-Taawoun clinched a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Abha, with Mateus Castro sealing the deal with a goal in the 85th minute. Al-Taawoun now claims the fifth position with seven points, while Abha holds onto the eleventh spot with three points.
In another intense encounter, Al-Shabab managed to secure a challenging 1-1 draw against Damac. The latter claimed an initial lead with George Nkoudou’s goal in the 71st minute, only to see Fahad Al-Muwallad of Al-Shabab equalize in the 89th minute. As the league progresses, Damac is positioned in thirteenth place, accumulating two points and determined by goal difference.
