Be it Patna or Muzaffarpur or any other district of the state, the criminals who escaped from police custody are not well now. He will not be able to survive for long. Because, a big campaign is going on at the state level against the criminals who have escaped from the police custody. For this, a special order has been issued by the Bihar Police Headquarters. Bihar STF is leading this campaign. Along with this, special teams of district police are also working at many places.
On Monday, ADG Headquarters Jitendra Singh Gangwar told that a big operation is being conducted to nab the criminals who are absconding from police custody. Taking continuous action, from February 6 to May 20, 16 such accused, who had escaped from police custody, have been arrested. Most of them are criminals. When ADG Headquarters was asked that what is the total number of criminals absconding from police custody in Bihar? Answering the question, he did not tell the exact figure but said that this campaign will continue further to catch the accused absconding from custody.
The result of this campaign is that in 2013, Mehre Alam was taken into custody by the NIA for questioning in the case of serial bomb blasts in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, he escaped from the guest house in Muzaffarpur. Whom the STF team raided and arrested from Darbhanga on 20th May. Similarly, on April 5, the STF arrested Manjit Kumar alias Baba, a criminal of Nadi police station, from Zero Mile area of Agamkuan police station. Who had absconded from Didarganj police station on February 13 this year. On August 3, 2004, Mahadev Gop of Nalanda’s Hilsa absconded while undergoing treatment in Patna. After a long time STF caught him on 9th April. Similarly, criminals absconding from custody will be caught in future also.
