Congress News: The Congress attacked the central government while celebrating the death anniversary of farmers killed a year ago in Lakhimpur Kheri, saying the accused in the killing of farmers is still a part of the government’s cabinet. Congress has given its support to the demands of United Kisan Morcha. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “India marks the 26th day of the Jodo Yatra and the first anniversary of the Lakhimpur Kheri massacre. A year ago many farmers were killed. The son of a minister of the Modi government is involved in this. Even today that person is a member of the cabinet. Nothing could be more humiliating than this. The farmers who were campaigning against the black law were deliberately killed and the accused is a cabinet member. Jairam Ramesh was talking to reporters in Delhi on Monday.

He said that farmers related issues are being raised in Mysore district. We again support the demands of United Kisan Morcha. MSP should be guaranteed and many others were sought. We have always supported the Morcha and will continue to do so. One of the motives of the Bharat Jodo Yatra was that the government has failed to provide economic justice to the farmers, only encouraging private companies.

He further said, India Link Yatra has completed 62 kms in Tamil Nadu, 355 kms in Kerala and now it is the fourth day in Karnataka. Will complete 66 kms by the end of the day. There is a BJP government in Karnataka but the people welcomed us there too. This yatra is historic, people and workers come to meet. Will be in Karnataka for the next 18 days. People will accept us with the same enthusiasm.

The Lakhimpur Kheri incident, which was famous on October 3, is turning a year. United Kisan Morcha will celebrate the anniversary of Kheri incident. Farmers from all the places will gather in the program organized at Kaudiyala Ghat Gurudwara. BKU spokesperson and farmer leader Rakesh Tikait will also be present in the program.
