Collision between bus and pickup in Samastipur: Accident near Bangra police station on NH 28, 10 people injured; two in critical condition

10 people were injured in a face-to-face collision between a bus and a pickup on Wednesday evening near the National Highway Petrol Pump of Bangra police station area on National Highway 28 passing through Samastipur district. In this, the condition of two is said to be serious.

Both the seriously injured persons have been admitted to Tajpur Referral Hospital. From where he has been referred to Samastipur. Seriously injured Raju Kumar pickup driver Paharpur Chikanota Vaishali and bus driver Santosh Kumar Karna resident of Warisnagar police station area.

Both of them have been referred to Samastipur Sadar Hospital in view of their critical condition after first aid at Tajpur Referral Hospital. Seeing his serious condition in Sadar Hospital also, the doctor has referred him to PMCH.

In relation to the incident, it has been told that the bus was coming to Samastipur from Muzaffarpur in the evening, during this time a pickup going from Samastipur to Muzaffarpur became unbalanced and collided with the bus near the petrol pump. More than 10 people on board the pickup and the bus sustained injuries in the incident.

The driver of the bus and the pickup were seriously injured. With the help of the local people, both the drivers trapped inside the vehicle were pulled out by the people and taken to the hospital. During this, 8 partially injured people were sent to Samastipur by other buses after first aid.
