CM’s dream project will be inaugurated soon: Ganga water emergence project in Motnaje is ready, drinking water will be supplied to Nawada city in March

Ganga water harvesting project has been completed in Motnaje village of Nardiganj block of Nawada district. It is likely to be inaugurated soon. Therefore, the state’s Water Resources cum Information Public Relations Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha on Wednesday conducted a ground inspection of the water purification plant at Motnaje. Along with this, the officers present were directed to make arrangements for the inauguration in a better way. He inspected the utility building and various plants located in the campus. Gangajal is filtered in the utility building.

He visited the water treatment plant and took feedback and reviewed it with the officials. The work of the water treatment plant has been completed. All necessary preparations are being completed for the inauguration of this plant. The minister inspected the reservoir of Gangajal Udhav Project. He said that this is a very ambitious and public utility scheme of the Bihar government, under which flood water will be supplied as drinking water to Gaya, Bodh Gaya, Rajgir and Nawada. This is the dream project of the Chief Minister, which is being completed within the stipulated time. It is a huge game changer. The Chief Minister has done unlimited work for the development of the state, in which this is also the main one. In the areas where there is shortage of drinking water, the flood water of Ganga will be supplied to the people in the form of drinking water.

135 liters per person will be supplied daily to their homes. It was a tough job. There was difficulty in working during Covid-19, yet the work was completed. Ganga water was lifted from Hathidah, 151 km away, and brought to Motnaje, which is being stored in a large reservoir. From here, pure drinking water will be supplied to Rajgir after purifying it. By March 2023, Nawada district will also be able to supply pure drinking water by purifying water from a place called Paura. This is better quality drinking water than RO. Department Secretary Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal was also present on this occasion, Nawada DM Udita Singh, Nalanda District Magistrate Sashank Shubhankar, Nawada SP Dr. Gaurav Mangla, Sadar SDM Umesh Kumar Bharti etc.
