    Uttarakhand News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Khatima from Kashipur late in the evening on Saturday. Here he stopped the convoy at Khatima main market and shopped for earthen lamps. He described it as a small contribution promoting the campaign of Vocal for Local as per the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the promotion of earthen lamps and local products makes a potter’s house financially strong. On this occasion, he urged everyone to buy more and more local products this Diwali.

    PM Modi’s Uttarakhand tour ends

    At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for Delhi from Badrinath on Saturday after finishing his Uttarakhand tour. The Prime Minister first reached Jolly Grant Airport near Dehradun by helicopter from Badrinath, from where he boarded the plane and left for Delhi. Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen (Retired) Gurmeet Singh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and others bid him farewell at the airport.

    PM Modi had visited Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham on Friday, where he reviewed the progress of construction works going on in both the Dhams besides offering prayers and darshan of the Lord. During his two-day visit, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of projects worth about Rs 3,400 crore, including the 9.7 km long Gaurikund-Kedarnath ropeway (ropeway) to be built at a cost of Rs 1,267 crore, the 12.40 km Govindghat-Hemkund ropeway to be built at a cost of Rs 1,163 crore. did.
