In Sheikhpura, on Saturday, on the Sheikhpura – Sikandra main road, the police took quick action in the matter of forcibly collecting donations from their drivers in the name of Chhath Puja by stopping the vehicles passing near Eksari Bigha village and reaching the spot red-handed. In this regard, City Police Station President cum Police Inspector Vinod Ram told that CJM Rajesh Kumar of Civil Court Sheikhpura was passing through the said main road in his vehicle. At the same time, some youths were forcibly collecting donations in the name of Chhath Puja from vehicles passing near Eksari village. Due to which there was a situation of road jam. The CJM’s vehicle was also stuck in the jam for a long time.
In such a situation, the CJM complained to SP Kartikeya Sharma from mobile. As soon as the complaint was received, the SP informed the city police station. In the light of the instructions of the SP, the police team led by ASI Ramji Prasad of the city police station reached the spot and arrested a youth, Lalan Yadav, who was collecting donations. Who is said to be the son of Nandlal Yadav, resident of Eksari Bigha village.
Police said that the arrested youth was forcibly collecting donations from its drivers by stopping the passing vehicles by printing fake receipts. An FIR was registered in this regard in the city police station and he was sent to jail. While the search is on for three unidentified youths absconding in this case.
