Chhattisgarh News: Six people, including two girls, committed suicide by hanging in Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur district on Friday. The police gave this information on Saturday. Police officials said that on Friday, a young man and a girl were found hanging from a tree in Ratanpur police station area of the district, while in a village under Masturi police station area, a young man and a woman hanged themselves to death in a span of half an hour. According to officials, two people committed suicide by hanging themselves in two villages of Sipat police station area. Ratanpur police station in-charge Shant Kumar Sahu said that the police found Badal Chaudhary (22) resident of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district and a 17-year-old girl hanging on a tree in the forest of Podi village on Friday night.
‘The fear of a love affair between a boy and a girl’
Ratanpur police station in-charge Shant Kumar Sahu said that the police have received information that the young man and the girl had left the house on September 29. According to Sahu, a motorcycle has been recovered by the police from the spot and the police suspect that the youth and the girl had an affair due to which they have committed suicide. Police officials of Masturi police station area said that in Jaitpur village of the area, a youth, Gaurishankar Bhaina (18) and a 17-year-old girl, hanged themselves in a span of half an hour.
Police started investigation by registering a case
Police officials said that the police have received information that Gaurishankar hanged himself in his house at around 1 pm on Friday, after which a girl in the neighborhood also hanged himself in his house. He told that the police suspect that Gaurishankar and the girl have given their lives due to the love affair. Police officials of Sipat police station in the district said that Rameshwar Yadav (65) and Karan Dhanuwar (22) hanged themselves in their respective homes on Friday in two villages of the area, in Kuli and Machkhanda. Police officials said both were psychopaths. He said that the police have registered a case and the matter is being investigated.
