There has been a boat accident in Motihari. Ten people drowned in the river after the boat capsized, Nav was rescued alive with the help of the villagers. While a woman died due to drowning. The incident is of Gandak river passing through Malahi police station area. All those extracted from the same river are being treated at the local PHC. All Malahi on the boat were residents of Dusadh Toli and were returning from Nava after harvesting fodder for cattle from Chatiya Diara.

10 people of Dusadh Toli of Malahi police station area on a small boat had gone to the other side of the Gandak river to cut fodder for cattle. After cutting the grass, everyone returned by boat. Meanwhile, the boat in the river overturned unbalanced, the villagers standing on the dam raised an alarm and jumped into the river to save the drowning people. During this, out of 10 people drowned, Nav was rescued. While a woman died due to drowning.

Malahi SHO Sanjay Pathak said that immediately after getting information about the incident, rescue and relief work started with the help of local villagers along with police force. While a woman has died. The process of sending her body for post-mortem is being done.
