BJP MLA and MLC are sitting on dharna in the assembly premises regarding 72 deaths due to spurious liquor in Saran. Everyone is demanding Nitish Kumar’s resignation. They are demanding compensation from the government to the families of the victims.
Earlier all MLAs and MLCs were sitting on dharna in front of Shaheed Satyamurti Sthal. After this everyone reached the assembly premises. Everyone in the assembly premises is raising slogans against Nitish Kumar.
Alleging the murder of democracy, this Mahadharna has been organized under the leadership of Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha. All the MLAs are staging a Mahadharna under the Bodhi tree made as a symbol in the Vidhansabha.
This protest is special in the sense that for the first time after the end of the proceedings of the Legislature, this protest is being held in the Vidhansabha premises.
Assembly leader of the opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha is present for the protest. This dharna will last for 2 hours which is being led by Leader of the Opposition Vijay Sinha and Samrat Chowdhary.
Leader of the Opposition Vijay Sinha said that in the 5-day winter session, the opposition raised public questions, but the treatment meted out to the MLAs was not right.
Bihar Assembly Speaker was working as RJD spokesperson. The Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly cannot show partiality. It is a position of dignity. The police who are being accused of messing with spurious liquor. Only food supply is being done after checking with him. Those who have died due to spurious liquor are poor and suffering. Such statement of the Chief Minister is sad for him. This is why all the MLAs of BJP along with the MLC will stage a dharna.
Nitish said – what compensation will he give if he dies after drinking alcohol
In the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha, Leader of Opposition Vijay Sinha had raised the demand for compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the victim’s family in the House. On this, Nitish said, ‘If he has died after drinking alcohol, will the government give compensation? Will not give a single penny. Opposition leaders led by Leader of Opposition Vijay Kumar Sinha took out a march to Raj Bhavan. Met the governor and requested him to intervene. The opposition also demanded the dismissal of the government. Along with this, Vijay Kumar Sinha said that the government should give compensation to whoever dies due to the failure of the government, by bullets of criminals or by drinking poisonous liquor.
