Damage has been done to JDU in Bihar
Bihar assembly elections were held in 2020. The NDA alliance then included the BJP and JDU as well as the Lok Janshakti Party (before the party’s split). Even after being in NDA, Chirag had adopted the path of walking alone in the Bihar assembly elections at that time. Against Nitish Kumar’s JDU, he fielded his candidates in many seats. Its big effect was also visible on the result. JDU’s seats were reduced.
JDU had a straight loss of 28 seats. JD(U) candidates won only 43 seats. It was only after this result that allegations started that Chirag Paswan had fielded his candidate against JDU in Bihar at the behest of BJP.
