In Shahpura area, the accused transferred ₹ 54000 from the account of a bank worker to his account without OTP. However, on timely complaint in the cyber cell, the police with the help of the bank got the amount withdrawn from the complainant’s account cold. At the same time, a case of cheating has been registered against the unknown.
Station in-charge Awadhesh Bhadauria told that Rajni Kant Mani, a resident of Siddharth Campus Gulmohar Colony Shahpura, is 28 years old and is a clerk in Indian Bank, Bilaspur Chhattisgarh. He told the police that on February 12, Rs 54,500 was suddenly transferred from his account to an unknown account. The incident came to light from the message sent by the bank on mobile that he neither told the OTP pin to anyone nor opened the I-link from the unknown number. Even after this don’t know how the money got transferred from his account. After this, he immediately lodged an online complaint with the Cyber Cell of the Crime Branch.
In this case, the cyber cell contacted the bank and got the amount withdrawn from the complainant’s account put on hold, after investigating the case, registered the case at zero and sent the case diary to Shahpura police station, where Shahpura police actually registered a case against the unknown. After registering the case, investigation has been started.
