The Chhotu Kumar murder case in Begusarai’s Chamtha was disclosed by the Begusarai police within 48 hours. The deceased Chhotu Kumar had a love affair with two women of the house of the three arrested miscreants. Angered by this, the three miscreants conspired and killed Chhotu by slitting his throat with a knife and threw the dead body near the staircase of his under-construction house.

Among the arrested miscreants are Sandhya Ram and Shyam Babu Ram of Bachwara police station area while Pappu Ram of Samastipur district. The police have arrested all three, from whom the knife used to slit the throat at the time of the murder has also been recovered. Police also recovered the mobile of the deceased from the miscreants. The SP said that there is enough evidence against the arrested miscreants and soon the police will file a charge sheet in the entire case and get them punished under a speedy trial.
