Jay Shah has announced this decision through social media. He has told that, ‘From now onwards, women will also get the same match fee as men. Men get 15 lakh rupees for a match in test cricket. Whereas in One Day International, 6 lakh rupees are given for a match. At the same time, men get Rs 3 lakh for playing a match in T20 International cricket.

The BCCI secretary said that, ‘We are now entering a new era of gender equality. In such a situation, now there will be equal match fee for both men and women. Along with this, Jay Shah has also thanked the Apex Council for supporting this decision.
Let us tell you that the initiative to pay equal fees to women and men in cricket was started by the New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC). The New Zealand Cricket Board took this decision in June this year. There was also an agreement between the New Zealand Cricket Board and 6 major associations regarding this. The deal was done for the first five years.
