Sahara India’s branch manager wife, who was going on a bike to her home in Varanasi with her husband on Durga Puja and Dussehra leave, died in a road accident. In fact, Sanjay Raikar, a resident of Varanasi Samne Ghat in Uttar Pradesh, along with his wife Rashmi Raikar was going from Hariharganj in Jharkhand to his house in Varanasi Samne Ghat for Durga Puja and Dussehra holiday on Saturday evening.
As soon as Sanjay Raikar reached near Usri village of Mohania police station area of Kaimur district, his wife Rashmi Raikar, who was the branch manager of Sahara India in Jharkhand, fell down from the moving bike. Meanwhile, a truck coming from behind crushed Rashmi Raikar. After the incident, Sanjay Raikar was seen crying sitting near the dead body of his wife. In this accident, Rashmi Raikar died a painful death on the spot. NHAI reached the spot after getting information about the incident.
This information was given to Mohaniya police station. Police reached the spot and started legal action. Here the driver of the truck which had trampled Rashmi Raikar fled from the spot. The police have seized the truck. After the road accident, the southern lane of National Highway 19 Delhi Kolkata road was blocked for some time. But the NHAI and the police administration started the movement of vehicles through this route shortly after.
Local people told that the accident was so painful that as soon as Rashmi Raikar fell down from the bike, husband Sanjay Raikar could understand something, only then a speeding truck coming from behind crossed the truck over Rashmi Raikar. Soon after the incident, the truck driver parked the vehicle and fled from the spot. Police have taken the body in possession and sent it to Sadar Hospital Bhabua for post-mortem.
