According to the information received there, this temple is said to be of colonial period and worship has been going on in it since the British rule. This temple is located in Dautia village of Zhenaidah district of Bangladesh. The police, who arrived after getting information about the attack, have also found fragments of the broken idol here.
Significantly, last year too, at least six people were killed and hundreds were injured in communal violence and clashes during the Durga Puja festival in the country. It is to be known that, at present, about 10% of the population of about 16.90 million in Bangladesh are Hindus.
