Facing 277 balls, he scored 161 runs with the help of 15 fours and 1 six and took another new record in his name.
The history of Test cricket tells that Babar Azam scored his 9th century in the 47th match of his Test career. With this, he broke the 16-year-old record of former Pakistan player Mohammad Yousuf.

Mohammad Yusuf scored 2435 runs in 33 international matches in the year 2006. But, now Babar Azam has reached the top. This figure may increase by the end of the year, as he is yet to bat in the second innings against New Zealand.
