New Delhi: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah made a big statement regarding the ODI Asia Cup 2023 to be held in Pakistan next year. After which now Pakistan has got big chili. Jay Shah said that the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 and the tournament will be held at a third neutral venue. After this, a situation of tension has arisen between the BCCI and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
After Shah’s statement, many people have expressed their opinion. Meanwhile, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has given his opinion on this matter. Kaneria shared a video on his YouTube channel on Tuesday. He suggested to his team that, they have no option but to accept India’s decision, as 90% of ICC funding comes from BCCI.

Danish Kaneria said, “BCCI may very well decide to do so. PCB cannot object, as BCCI is the richest board in the world and they contribute 90% of the total revenue of ICC. Pakistan may not agree with BCCI’s stand on the matter, but all other boards will have to agree with them. England, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand, all these boards are with BCCI because they know that without BCCI there is nothing.
Danish shared the video before the PCB issued a statement on the matter, saying, “The Indian board is very, very powerful, while the current Pakistan administration is very weak. There used to be some strict administrators in the Pakistan Board which are not there now. They will have to agree with what the BCCI says, and need not feel bad, as it is because of the political scenario between the two countries, as the Indian board will not get the necessary clearance (to travel to Pakistan).”
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement on Wednesday saying, “ACC President Jay Shah’s statement on Tuesday about shifting the Asia Cup to a neutral venue next year is disappointing and surprising. There was no discussion in this regard with the Pakistan Cricket Board, which is hosting the Asia Cup, nor the long-term consequences and implications of this decision.
He said, “After chairing the ACC meeting in which Pakistan was awarded the hosting of the Asia Cup with the support of the members of the ACC Board, Shah’s statement of shifting the ACC Asia Cup to a neutral venue was clearly unilateral. Is.”
