Arms will be verified in Buxar by November 30: No renewal without verification, license canceled for disobedience

Verification will be done in the police station premises

The verification of licensed weapons in Buxar will be done by the district administration from 11 am today to 30 November in the police station premises, where the magistrate and the concerned police station head will be present. The district administration had already fixed the date regarding arms verification. The administration has deputed BDO-CO as Magistrate regarding the arms verification of all the police station areas of the district.

No renewal without verification

According to the information received from the Arms Department, the arms of Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat area will not be verified, because their arms have been verified at the time of municipal elections. Apart from this, the license holders of all the areas reached the police station with weapons, cartridges and Aadhaar cards. The Magistrate present can also direct the deposit of weapons after seeing the physical reaction of the holder above 70 years of age. Whereas in the month of December the license holders will have to be verified. No renewal will be done without verification. This order has been issued by the Arms Department.

Instructions have also been given to provide the list of deceased licensees. District wise list of licensed scriptures has already been made available to the concerned police station for verification. On the other hand, if the order is disobeyed by any licensee, action will be taken against the concerned firearms license holders to suspend or cancel the license under the relevant sections of the Arms Act.
