International Labor Day: Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made big announcements in the interests of labor on the occasion of Labor Conference organized at Science College Ground, Raipur on the occasion of International Labor Day.
He announced to increase the amount of assistance given to the relatives of registered construction workers in case of accidental death at workplace from Rs. one lakh to Rs. 5 lakh and in case of permanent disability, the amount payable to them from Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 2.5 lakh. Along with this, unregistered workers will also be provided assistance of one lakh rupees in case of death due to accident at the workplace. School Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekam, Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya, Parliamentary Secretary Vikas Upadhyay, Sanjari Balod MLA Sangeeta Sinha, Chairperson of Women’s Commission Kiranmayi Nayak, former MPs Nand Kumar Sai and Chhaya Verma and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister announced the Chief Minister Construction Labor Monthly Season Ticket Card Scheme in the program. Under this, the registered construction workers who travel from their home to the workplace by rail or bus. Monthly ticket card MST will be issued for them, this card can be used for traveling up to 50 km. Its entire expenditure will be borne by the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Board. Along with this, he also announced the Chief Minister’s Construction Workers Assistance Scheme. Under this, a grant of Rs 50,000 will be provided to the factory workers for construction or purchase of new houses.
