Fireworks on Diwali caught fire in a warehouse at Nabi Sarai in Bodla, Jagdishpura at night. The warehouse was built in a two-storey building. The family is living on the first floor. There was a warehouse on the second floor. The flames engulfed both the storeys. There was panic among the people seeing the flames. Two fire tenders of the fire brigade brought the fire under control after a lot of effort.
The warehouse is of shoes. The fire broke out in the warehouse due to the spark of fireworks at around 10 pm on Monday night. People raised an alarm when they saw smoke coming out of the warehouse. The family living on the first floor moved out. After this, he tried to extinguish the fire from his level. By then the fire had spread throughout the warehouse. The flames engulfed the two-storey warehouse.
On information, Jagdishpura police station and two fire brigade reached. The fire was brought under control after one-and-a-half hours of hard work. Inspector Devendra Shankar Pandey, in-charge of the station, says that the fire started in the godown. There is a risk of fire from the sparks of fireworks. There have been no casualties. The fire has been brought under control.
