In less than two weeks, The Kerala Story has become the second biggest hit of the year surpassing the lifetime collection of Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. Whereas now the film has crossed the figure of 200 crores on the 18th day. So let’s know how much the film has collected on the 18th day.
18th day earning so much
The wonderful collection of the film continues continuously, the film had a record breaking collection of total 198.47 crores on the 17th day of its release. After which it can be said that the film is just two steps away from crossing the 200 crore mark. And now on the 18th day the film has crossed the figure of 200 crores. According to the report, ‘The Kerala Story’ has earned Rs 5.50 crore on the third Monday i.e. 18th day of its release. After which the total collection of the film has now gone up to Rs 204.47 crore. With this, the film has also crossed the Rs 200 crore mark on its third Monday.
This led to controversy
The controversy has been going on ever since the teaser of this film was launched in the month of November 2022. The film’s lead actress Adah Sharma plays the character of Shalini Unnikrishnan. So many controversies are happening on this film because the story of this film is based on those girls who wanted to become nurses but due to the nefarious designs of ISIS, they took up terrorism. In the film, Shalini has said that 32000 girls have been converted to ISIS in Kerala and she is also one of them. At the same time, due to controversies, this big figure has been reduced from 32000 to 3. The film released across the cinema halls on 5 May and stars Adah Sharma, Sonia Balani, Yogita Bihani and Siddhi Idnani in pivotal roles.
