About ten thousand applications canceled regarding diesel grant amount: 10,977 out of 33,671 applications were canceled, reason not given

In Supaul district, out of 33671 agriculture department’s online applications for diesel grant, 10977 have been canceled due to various reasons. The same 23596 approved applications have been sent to the account of 19252 farmers, 3 crore 83 lakh 11661.

Online applications are being given only for providing diesel subsidy to farmers through the Agriculture Department for irrigation of Kharif crop. At the same time, 10977 applications were rejected during the investigation of the Agriculture Department official. While giving information, District Agriculture Officer Ajit Kumar Yadav said that 2446 applications were canceled from DEO level. Till October 14, 33571 farmers of the district applied for getting diesel subsidy.

Out of this, so far, the applications of 10977 farmers were canceled after various errors were found. The government is giving grant from the Agriculture Department at the rate of ₹ 75 liters on diesel purchased from diesel pump sets for irrigation of Kharif crops. In this way, there is a provision to provide subsidy at the rate of ₹ 700 per acre for irrigation. Here, the District Agriculture Officer said that in many applications, irrigation acreage has not been mentioned, so no one has a diesel engine.
