UP Crime News: In Bareilly’s Bisharatganj police station area, three people gang-raped a pregnant woman, which led to her miscarriage. According to the complaint given by the victim’s husband, on September 13, she was working in the field when three youths reached there and gang-raped her, following which she had a miscarriage, police said on Wednesday.
Victim’s condition still critical
The three-month-old pregnant victim was admitted to the district hospital after her condition deteriorated and her condition is still critical. On the complaint of the woman’s husband, the police registered an FIR and arrested the three accused on Tuesday evening. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rajkumar Agrawal said that the matter is being investigated and further action will be taken as per the facts revealed.
The police did not take action after the complaint on the day of the incident
Bisharatganj police station in-charge Inspector Rajesh Kumar said that the victim’s husband had lodged a complaint with the women’s police station in Bareilly on September 16. However, the woman’s husband alleged that he had lodged a complaint on the day of the incident itself but the police did not take any action. He said that as his health deteriorated, he took her to the district hospital, from where he lodged a complaint by post, on which the police registered a case on Tuesday.
