We wanted the name to be democratic, peaceful and free. Hence the name of the party was decided.

Recently, Ghulam Nabi Azad had said that ‘we have three main agendas’. First to restore statehood, second to reserve the right to buy land for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and third to reserve the right to jobs only for the local youth.

But in recent years he was being marginalized in his own Congress party. He was also involved in the G23 group, which was a group of senior leaders, who raised their voice against the Gandhi family.
