On Dhanteras in Banka on Saturday, 887 families got shelter across the district. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, these people were handed over the keys of the newly constructed house. In this, maximum number of 133 beneficiaries were given houses in Chandan block. In Banka Sadar block 44 beneficiaries were handed over houses.

DDC Kaushalendra Kumar said that the work of housing scheme is going on very fast in the district. Its benefit is being given to all the needy families. For this, continuous monitoring is also being done.

Wherever any discrepancy in this scheme is coming to the fore, immediate action is being taken. He said that on the occasion of Dhanteras, 830 families of all the blocks of the district have been given home entry. Fulfilling his dream of a pucca roof, Mars was entered on Dhanteras.

Notice being given to complete incomplete houses

Continuous initiatives are being taken at the district level to complete the incomplete houses. For this, notices are being issued to the beneficiaries who have taken all the three installments, even after that they have not completed the house work.
