MAKKAH — As many as 150,000 Umrah pilgrims have benefited from the hair cutting service, introduced by the General Presidency for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, to exit from Ihram during the holy month of Ramadan.

The authority has launched the trial operation of the ritual of exiting from the state of Ihram after completion of Umrah rituals on the courtyard of the Grand Mosque for the first time from the first day of Ramadan.

The service enables both male and female pilgrims to exit from Ihram after completing the rituals through cutting their hair at 12 designated locations opposite the Marwa area. Mobile salon units equipped with 112 personnel and fully sterilized tools are available to accommodate an increased number of pilgrims.

During the last days of Ramadan, the authority, in cooperation with the relevant agencies, has made available foolproof facilities and meticulous services to enable the huge number of pilgrims and worshipers to perform their rituals in ease and comfort.

The authority reported that the number of beneficiaries of the cart services during the 21 days of Ramadan reached 836,574, including 643,364 beneficiaries of the electric golf cart, 168,228 beneficiaries of the advanced paid carts, and 24,982 beneficiaries of the free manual carts.
