1.35 lakh looted from tempo driver in Samastipur
Bike-borne miscreants shot and injured auto driver Upendra Mahto, who was going to drop his daughter at her in-laws’ house late on Sunday evening, near Laregachi under Khanpur police station area of Samastipur district and looted Rs 1.35 lakh from him for the sale of land. The auto driver has a bullet injury in his left hand. The number of miscreants is stated to be 5 who were riding on two different bikes. After executing the incident, all the miscreants fled towards Chaur Chatar.
In relation to the incident, it has been told that auto driver Upendra Mahato, a resident of Bachhauli village of Khanpur police station area, was going with his daughter to Madhu toll of this police station area to take her to her in-laws house on an auto. The miscreants surrounded them and thrashed them and demanded money from them. It has been told that the auto driver had sold his land two days back. Due to which he had money, during this resistance, the miscreants opened fire on him. The bullet hit his left hand which came out piercing the arm. During this, the miscreants looted the money from them, when people started gathering, the miscreants fled towards Chaur.
On the sound of the bullet, the people around have taken the injured auto driver to Samastipur Sadar Hospital. On the other hand, on the information of the incident, the police has started investigating the matter. Station House Officer Vinay Kumar, posted at Sadar Hospital, told that the statement of the injured is being taken and after taking the statement, he will be sent to Khanpur police station.
