Veteran lawyer and prominent blogger Atty. Nick Nañgit questions Olympic Gold Medalist Hidilyn Diaz for her latest rant on social media claiming that she’s lacking government support right now.
The statement of Atty. Nick went viral on social media after Hidilyn’s expose about her problems regarding her preparations for the upcoming Olympics.
According to the lawyer on his Facebook post, Hidilyn Diaz should be reminded that Diaz got a huge chunk of her winning money after capturing the gold medal in an Olympics after 97 years of trying by the Philippine team.
Hidilyn Diaz won in the 55-kilogram weightlifting event and became the first ever Filipino to win a gold medal in an Olympic events.
Atty. Nick was quoted as saying “The amount you have accepted that the average citizen will not earn, then you still have a problem with the fund? Where did your money go, and what are you spending it on? Is the financial support provided by the government still lacking? in your training?” asked the lawyer.
The veteran lawyer also suggested to Hidilyn that she should consult the Philippine Sports Commission first before making an attempt to post a rant on social media about her situation.
