People attacked Vaishali police in plain uniform near Sonbarsa Chowk in Samastipur city, mistaking them for criminals. During the scuffle, people snatched an AK-47 rifle from a policeman. During this, he also had a fight with the policemen. Two injured policemen have been admitted to Sadar Hospital in the incident. Among the injured policemen, constables of Vaishali district police Mohammad Manzoor Alam and Triyank Kumar Pushpam have been told. The miscreants have snatched the rifle from the injured Triank.

On the information of the incident, Headquarters DSP cum in-charge SP Amit Kumar said that Vaishali police was attacked and weapons were looted. Police personnel have been sent on the spot. Further details are awaited.

Regarding the incident, it has been told that the Vaishali police had gathered near Sonvarsha Chowk in plain uniform with white colored Scorpios. Late in the evening people attacked him on the basis of suspicion after seeing his activity. During this people took him hostage and started beating him. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the opportunity, some people snatched an AK-47 from a policeman and made him disappear. Mufassil and the city police team reached the spot on the information that the police’s weapon was snatched and freed the hostage policemen.
