The monthly review meeting of the Health Department was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner Shekhar Anand in the auditorium of DRDA Bhawan located in the Collectorate premises on Tuesday. In the meeting, the DDC, during the review of OPDs in government health institutions, stopped the salary of 6 doctors with the number of OPDs below 100. The careless doctors include Dr. Ravikant Kesari of Karhagar, Dr. Babita Baksi and Dr. Chandni Farhat of Dinara, Dr. Neha Kumari of Karakat and Dr. Sudhir Kumar of Dehri. In this review meeting, the Deputy Development Commissioner has tightened the screws of the medical officers on the poor progress of the health department’s CHC, PHC. In the meeting, the DDC warned the employees of the Health Department and said that if there is no improvement, then be ready for departmental action. In this meeting, all the indices of health were reviewed. District Immunization Officer Dr RKP Sahu, in the course of reviewing the COVID vaccination, was told that the condition of the district is good in vaccination, only people above 60 years of age need to do better in booster doses. In vaccination, it was told by the representative of UNICEF that the cooperation of ICDS in the mobilization of the beneficiary is not being met as per the requirement. On which the DDC directed that after doing a comprehensive review, it should be kept in the next meeting with the name in which block such problem is coming. On the other hand, Sadar Hospital Sasaram, Sub-Divisional Hospital Dehri, Bikramganj Karakat were instructed to ensure that the hospital is equipped for the target program. Medical officers in-charge of all government hospitals of the district, all health managers, all block community catalysts, all CDPOs, DPO ICDS were present in the meeting.
