Uttar Pradesh: Four people were killed in an accident on the 304-km-long Purvanchal Expressway going from Lucknow to Ghazipur in Haliapur police station area of ​​Sultanpur district on Friday. A senior official gave this information. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the accident. The Chief Minister’s Office tweeted on Friday and said, “UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over the loss of lives in a road accident in Sultanpur district. Praying for peace to the departed soul, the Chief Minister has expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members.

In a series of tweets, it was said, “The Chief Minister has directed the officials to take the injured to the hospital immediately and for their proper treatment and also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.” Along with this, the District Magistrate and senior police officers have been directed to go to the spot and get the relief work done on a war footing.

‘The container hit from behind’

Police sources said that a container coming from Lucknow hit a BMW car going towards Sultanpur on the Purvanchal Expressway from behind. All four people in the car died in the accident and the car was blown up. After getting information about the incident, along with the police team, the District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police and other officers also reached the spot. Sources said that the registration of the car belongs to the state of Uttarakhand. The accident took place at 83.750 km on Purvanchal Expressway in Haliapur police station area.

The identity of the fourth deceased could not be ascertained.

District Magistrate Ravish Kumar said that those who died in the accident have been identified as Anand Prakash (35), residents of Dehri On Sone in Bihar state, Akhilesh Singh (35) and Deepak Kumar (37), residents of Aurangabad, while the fourth deceased has not been identified yet. Could happen.
