The water level of Rapti river, which remained stable at Rapti barrage, has started rising once again. The water level of Rapti rose again to 129.10 meters at 4.00 pm on Friday. Due to this, once again the flood water has started increasing in the villages and roads through which the flood water was decreasing. Not only this, the waves of Rapti are cutting fast in the village in Majra Ramnagara of Manikapur. In such a situation, the villagers have left their homes and camped on the roadside. Amidst rising water level, the Shravasti administration has issued a red alert.
Red alert issued…
There is a possibility of increasing water in Rapti at night. In view of this, the administration has issued a red alert. According to the alert issued by the administration, everyone is informed that in view of the water level of Kusum barrage of Nepal nation, the water level of Rapti river can go up to 129.50 after 12 to 2 pm, so taking precautions from now onwards, the water level of Rapti river can go up to 129.50. A message is given to the nearby villages to be alert. The district administration is constantly monitoring the situation. Do not be careless of any kind.

Earlier, for the last 24 hours, the river was flowing at its highest water level at 129.00 metres. It was 130 cm above the danger mark. The stream of Rapti was also seen changing on Friday. The water pressure is along the Mool river towards Laxmannagar. Due to which a crack is being seen in the forelane. In many places, the water has come up to the top of the forelane, while the traffic is disrupted in many places. NDRF and Flood PAC are trying to provide help to the flood victims. While the officials are engaged in controlling the disaster.
Rapt river is also cutting its way due to high water level at this time. Presently the direction of the river is towards Laxmannagar. Due to the pressure of water, the approach of the bridge built on the first four lane of Laxmannagar has been blocked. It is also feared that in 2014 at this place, Rapti river had damaged the bridge while making its way. The river is again creating pressure at this place. If the pressure increases further, it will be a new course of the river.

The tracks are also being cut at these places. The administration has cautioned the commuters not to drive near the tracks.
Traffic disrupted on many sides
The Bhinga-Leopard road is completely blocked due to floods. The barrier is in the Dip and Bhinga forest near the village of Leopard. Here the water is flowing at high speed over the road. Similarly, on the way to Bhinga Malhipur, the water near Madhwapur is several feet above the road. It is not known whether the road below is there or damaged. Similarly, the road near Bahraich Malhipur Shikari Chaura is also blocked. Due to which the traffic is completely obstructed. The situation is similar from Rapti barrage to Bhinga road, where water is flowing at a high speed about four feet above the dip near Varga. Due to which this road is also completely closed.
Power supply interrupted for three days
It has been raining in the district since the night of October 4. On the same night, Ullahwa, the epicenter of Jamunha region, was waterlogged. Later, as the flood situation worsened. This sub-station was submerged. Due to which the supply of the area was interrupted. The supply could not be restored till Friday. Due to which all the people of Jamunha are in darkness. Similarly, the supply of Sirsia area is disrupted due to fall of pole on high tension line in Sirsia area. Due to which more than five lakh people of both the blocks are in the dark.
Mobile switched off, how to give condition to the administration
For administrative help in floods, the administration has issued a helpline number. But due to lack of power supply in Jamunha area, almost everyone’s mobile is switched off for the last three days. Due to which neither he is able to tell his pain nor the administration is able to do anything.
Public representatives and officials visited the flood affected area
Former MP and District Panchayat President Daddan Mishra reached several villages on Friday to take stock of the flood-affected villages. There he helped the flood victims on his behalf. Along with this, he also promised to provide all possible help from the administration. On the other hand, DM Neha Prakash and SP Arvind Kumar Maurya visited many places in the flood prone area on Friday. On this occasion, he has asked the employees to extend help to the flood victims.
Had to call again NDRF
The district has never received so much rain in the last 10 years in the month of October. The data also shows that the average rainfall in this month has been recorded only up to 56 mm. But this time all records were broken. In view of the old records, on the instructions of the Disaster Commissioner, the NDRF deployed in the district was returned in the month of September itself. At the same time, when the flood disaster situation became more dire, the NDRF came back again on Friday.

From 8.00 am on October 5 to 8.00 am on October 6, 121.5 mm and from 8.00 am on October 6 to 8.00 am on October 7, 58.66 mm of rain was recorded.
Rain alert till October 11…
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in the state till October 11. According to the weather bulletin released on Friday, light to heavy rain is expected in the entire state till October 9. At the same time, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in western UP on October 10 and 11. Normal and heavy rains are expected in Lucknow on 8th day. However, due to rain on Friday, the mercury and winds have started making us feel cold.
Girl dies due to drowning in Shravasti
Rapti river is flowing above danger mark in district Shravasti. Flood water has started filling in the villages on the banks of river Rapti under Thana Ikauna. On Friday, Punni Devi, 15-year-old daughter of Bachhraj Yadav, resident of Majra Babhanpurwa of village Dahawar Kala in the police station area, had gone to the adjoining field for defecation at around 5 pm, where the girl fell in the field due to slipping of her feet. There the flood waters of the Rapti river were filled. The girl died due to drowning in the water.
