Uk Defense Minister Resigns To Spend Time With Family, Said- I Have Been Sleeping With 3 Phones For 7 Years…

Britain’s Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has said he will step down in the next cabinet reshuffle after four years in the job. Along with this, he also said that he will not contest the elections next year.

In an interview with the Sunday Times, Benn ruled out early resignation or the possibility of a by-election. Ben has been a minister in Britain for the last four years. He has been a member of Parliament continuously since 2005. Prior to this he was an officer in the Scots Guards in the army.

    UK Defense Minister To Quit

Ben Wallace has served as Defense Minister under the last three British Prime Ministers Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak. He continues to play an important role on Britain’s side in the midst of the Russia-Ukraine war conflict.

According to BBC sources, the next cabinet reshuffle in Britain could happen in September. Rishi Sunak is reportedly planning to make changes in his top team but no date has been confirmed.

Wallace said, ‘I entered politics in 1999 in the Scottish Parliament. 24 years have passed since then. I’ve spent over seven years with three phones by my bed. Now I want to spend further time with my family.

Ben Wallace, 53, told the Sunday Times he was not doing it because of pressure from anyone else. Ben Walesh is believed to have told Prime Minister Rishi Sunak about his decision to step down from cabinet last month.

“I am proud to have worked with so many wonderful people and contributed to the defense of this great country,” he said. But the cost of putting it ahead of my family is something that makes me very sad.

According to the BBC report, Ben Walsh has always been popular among Tory party members and according to some Conservative MPs, his decision can be considered as a big blow for the party.

Last week the prime minister rejected comments by Ben Wallace that he said Ukraine should be more grateful for the support it has already received. He said that the US or UK shopping website is not a branch of Amazon, where a list of weapons can be reached and demanded.

After this, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak had to give clarification on this. He said that Ukraine has always been grateful. At the same time, when Zelensky was asked a question on this in the press conference, he looked surprised. However, after this Ben Wallace said that his comment was misinterpreted. Ben Wallace said in his interview that he would continue to demand higher defense spending.
