    Two smugglers arrested with a truck loaded with liquor in Banka: 220 boxes of liquor were in the sack of salt, the driver is from Punjab

    In Banka, the team of the Excise Department has arrested two smugglers with a truck loaded with liquor. 220 boxes of foreign liquor were kept in the middle of the sack of salt on the truck. Late on Wednesday evening, the team of Excise Department took this action near Bal Jor check post.

    In fact, regarding Durga Puja, Banka District Officer Anshul Kumar has ordered the Excise Department to keep a special watch on all border check posts. In the same sequence, on Wednesday, 220 boxes of foreign liquor, kept hidden in the bottom between sacks of salt, have been recovered from a truck under the leadership of Under-Inspector of Excise Dilip Kumar at Bhaljor check post in Banka district. Along with this, the police have also arrested two liquor smugglers and seized the truck.

    Excise superintendent Arun Kumar said that this action has been taken at Bhaljor check post. He told that the arrested liquor smuggler Harpal Singh, father Late Yogik Singh, is a resident of Village – Gharbari Habi, Police Station – Kalubas, District – Gurdaspur, Punjab State. While the truck’s Khalasi Rajesh Singh, father Govind Singh, is a resident of Village – Meredih, Thana – Pattidaar, District – Vaishali, Bihar. Both the liquor smugglers have been arrested and sent to jail.
