It is being told that in the afternoon, in front of a nursing home near Line Bazar Kaptan Pul, people heard the crying of a child on the roadside. When people went and saw, everyone was shocked to see. Someone wrapped the girl in a cloth and left her on the roadside. The child was crying out of hunger and thirst. Some people nearby were making videos instead of lifting the girl. Then Shashi Kumar, a resident of the housing colony, was passing by. He lifted the girl in his lap and first pacified her and then informed the child line on the phone.

After counseling the girl, she was sent to a safe adoption home late in the evening. At present, the girl child has been kept safe in the adoption home. On the other hand, Bahadur Yadav, a resident of Simraha in Araria district, reached the adoption home late in the evening as soon as he found the girl child in an abandoned state and started claiming that the daughter is his. Bahadur told that his wife Sneha Devi is mentally ill. Purnia was brought for treatment. That’s why she left the child on the roadside and went away.
