A fire broke out in a Durga Puja pandal in UP’s Bhadohi late on Sunday evening. Soon, the entire pandal started burning. Two people, including a teenager, died due to the fire. At the same time, more than 50 people got burnt. Women and children are more among the burn victims. The fire was so fierce that everyone was shocked to see the high flames. On receiving the information, a large number of officers and fire brigade team including DM-SP reached. Scorched children and women were admitted to many private hospitals including CHC.
The Ekta Club’s pandal located on the Aurai-Bhadohi road attracts crowds during Navratri, due to its attractiveness. More than 150 people were present in the pandal around 8 pm on Sunday night. People were cheering by joining the aarti. A digital show was also going on in the pandal. During this suddenly a fire broke out. Seeing that there was a stampede. Soon, the entire pandal started burning.
There was shouting on the spot. From where he found the way, he started running. It was not clear how many people were scorched till the time of writing this news, but according to an official more than 50 people were injured. Two including the teenager were declared brought dead at the hospital. However, the officials have not confirmed this.
The cause of the fire is not yet clear. Some people believe that the fire started due to short circuit, while some people believe that Aarti caused the fire. Several officials including DM Gaurang Rathi and SP Dr. Anil Kumar reached the spot.
12 ambulances sent from Mirzapur, more than 50 people got scorched in the information of fire in Durga Puja pandal located in Aurai. 12 ambulances were dispatched from Mirzapur district to take them to the hospital. Ambulance manager Akash Gaurav Tiwari said that on the instructions of higher officials, 12 ambulances have been sent from the district to Aurai. At the same time, about 30 ambulances of Bhajohi district were also busy in taking the scorched people to the hospital.
