Tractor got jammed in the middle of railway dump: People were standing between railway lines, Gangasagar Express was passed by pointing with torch light

A major train accident was averted late Saturday evening at Railway Gumti number one located before the railway bridge of Samastipur Darbhanga rail section. Due to a sudden breakdown of a tractor in the middle of the railway dump, there was a jam on the railway track. Traffic on the roads came to a halt due to the jam. Meanwhile, the Gangasagar Express going from Jaynagar to Kolkata stopped at the railway bridge.

With the help of the gateman and the local people, the people trapped in the jam were made to stand between the down and up lines. Then in the light of the torch, as the four wheels indicate the vehicle to move, in the same way I got the train passed by pointing to the driver of the train. It’s just a coincidence that there was no accident. On the other hand, SS AK Rai of Samastipur station said that the gate was not closing due to the sudden failure of the tractor.

Later the gate was closed by the slider system, then the Gangasagar Express was passed. However, during the same period a passenger train from Samastipur station to Darbhanga was also made to cross Gumti by the same method. Later, the bad tractor was pulled out from the gumti after being struck and then the jam on the gumti ended. During this, people were stuck in the jam for about 2 hours. Due to the jam, there was a long queue of vehicles from Dharampur to Magardahi Lachka Ghat.

Due to this attitude of the railway, the local people created a ruckus at the gate. People said that this could have caused a big accident. People were trapped in the middle of the railway track, it is a mere coincidence that there is a lot of space between the down and upline on the railway dump, due to which people were saved.
