‘There is a lack of will power inside the government’: Dr. Alok Ranjan, former art minister, said – the government does not want to organize Bhaskar Mahotsav

Former Art Culture Minister Dr. Alok Ranjan reached Sat Pokharia Ghat under Municipal Council area in Saharsa, Bihar, during the evening Argha, where many leaders and workers including BJP District President Diwakar Singh were present with him. He extended his best wishes to the devotees on the occasion of Chhath and at the same time extended his best wishes to the people of Bihar on the occasion of Chhath festival.

During the visit of Chhath Ghat, the media questioned former Art Culture Minister Dr. Alok Ranjan about Bhaskar Mahotsav that why Bhaskar Mahotsav was not organized this time. Alok Ranjan lashed out at the government. He said that there is a lack of will power inside the government.

We had put the Bhaskar Mahotsav in the government’s calendar only last year. I had told the administration here, especially the district officer, on the phone that last year Bhaskar Mahotsav was held, a letter should be sent by you to the Bihar government regarding the amount.

But somewhere we feel that the government of this state has no attraction for the festival. Therefore, no effort was made by the administration here for the Bhaskar festival. Therefore, this time the Bhaskar festival could not take place.
