    Today is the third day of the four-day long Chhath festival. Arghya will be offered to the setting sun in the evening. Whereas, Arghya will be offered to the rising sun on Monday morning. For this, a huge crowd of Chhath devotees and devotees will gather at the Ganga Ghants of Patna. Keeping in view the large crowd gathered in this great festival of public faith, Patna district administration, police and traffic police have made arrangements for security and parking of vehicles on a large scale.

    A two-day route plan has been prepared for Patna, keeping in mind that there should be no problem for Chhath devotees and devotees during their journey to and from Ganga Ghat. Under the route plan issued, the people of the capital will have to walk according to the changed traffic arrangements for two days. The changed system will be applicable in Patna from 12 noon to 7 pm today and from 2 am to 8 am on Monday. Vehicles carrying fire brigade, ambulance, patient, death body and Chhath Vratis will be completely exempted from the changed traffic system for two days.

    Lakhs of people will gather at the ghat on the occasion of Chhath.

    Ashoka Rajpath arrangement

    • No trains will run on Ashok Rajpath from Kargil Chowk to Didarganj. All entry points on this route will be closed. Only the vehicles of Chhath devotees will go. Their vehicles will be parked from Khazanchi Road to Patna College/Science College campus. All types of Chhathvrati trains (except commercial trains) will run on Ashok Rajpath from Kargil Chowk to Shahpur in the West.
    • Trains will not run from Digha More to Ashiana Mor side (North to South) from 2 PM to 5:30 PM on 30 October and from 3 AM to 6 AM on the first on 31 October. Trains will be diverted towards Ramjichak More during this period. Which will be able to go to Bailey Road via Canal Road.
    • Trains going towards Gaighat will go towards Gaighat via Dhanuki Mor, Sheetla Mata Mandir or Biskoman Golambar on the old bypass. Parking has been arranged at 6 places for the vehicles going to Gai Ghat on both the days. 1. Parking is provided on the flank adjacent to West Paya, under the Gaighat bridge, 2. Hathiya Bagan, 3. Loha Godown, 4. NMCH, 5. Medaj Hospital (near Biskoman Golambar) and 6. Gulzarbagh Stadium, Alamganj. Is.
    • The auto running daily from under the Gaighat bridge will not go there or run from there during the time of worship. During that period auto and other commercial vehicles will come only till NMCH or Danka Imli and will go back from there. The auto exhibition road running between Gandhi Maidan to Gaighat will go through Rajendranagar bridge via Bahadurpur Gumti and will go from Agamkuan to Bypass police station. Also, the operation of commercial vehicles on Sudarshan Path will remain closed during that period.
    • There will be a ban on the entry of all types of commercial vehicles (including three wheelers) except for the vehicles of Chhathvratis from Bypass Thana Mod to Chowk Shikarpur ROB. The parking of Chhathvati vehicles going to Kangan Ghat and Chowk Mod will be done in City School, Chowk and Mangal Talab campus. From there, the Chhath devotees will have to go to the ghat on foot.
    • Trains of Chhath Vratis going from Chowk Shikarpur ROB to Morcha Road and Purab Darwaza will be parked under Guru Gobind Singh ROB and near Patna Sahib station. From there also Chhathvrati and devotees will have to go to the ghat on foot.
    • Entry of all types of vehicles (including three wheelers) coming towards Patna City from Karmlichak turn on four lanes will be banned.
    • All types of commercial vehicles (including three wheelers) will not be allowed to enter West Ashok Rajpath from Didarganj check post. This will be completely stopped. Only the vehicles of Chhathvratis will be allowed to go and the parking of their vehicles has been arranged in the market committee. From there they have to walk till the ghat.

    JP Setu traffic plan

    • There will be a ban on the arrival of small trains on JP Setu from 2 pm to 6:30 pm on October 30 from Sonpur/Chhapra towards Patna. Whereas, trains will also not go from Patna to Sonpur/Chhapra from 5 pm to 7 pm on the same day. The same arrangement will not allow trains from Sonpur and Chhapra to Patna from 3 am to 6 am on 31st October and from Patna to Sonpur-Chhapra from 6 am to 8 am.
    • No train will run on Atalpath from 11 am to 8 pm on the first Arghya day and from 2 am to 9 am on the morning of the morning Arghya, towards JP Setu. To go to JP Setu in emergency, one will have to travel through Rupaspur canal or Ashok Rajpath during that time.

    Arrangements made for Chhath Ghat

    • Patipul Ghat, Digha Ghat, Shiva Ghat, Minar Ghat (Digha):- To go to all these ghats, the vehicles of Chhathvratis and devotees will have to be parked in the parking made at the respective ghat. From there the devotees will go to the ghats on foot. The entry and exit of vehicles on these ghats will be from the approach road of JP Setu to Rupaspur Canal Road.
    • Ganga Path:- Gate no.- 93, 88, 83, Kurji Ghat, LCT Ghat, and Rajapul Pul Ghat will have a designated parking spot for Chhathvarati vehicles to enter the gates of the said ghats via Ganga Path. The entry and exit of these trains will be on the main road (Ashok Rajpath) from the Ganga path built inside the ghats.
    • Gate No.-93 (Digha):- All big/small vehicles of Chhathvratis/devotees coming to this ghat will enter from Atal Path, Kurji Mod Gate, LCT Gate and Rajapur Ghat Gate through Ganga Path. Vehicles will be parked at the designated parking spot located on the side of the ghat. The exit of big trains will be from gate no-93 and small trains will leave from gate no-92. If there is pressure or jam condition of the trains, then going east through the built-in road, can go to Ashok Rajpath via Gate No-83/Kurji Mor/LCT Ghat/Rajapur Pul Ghat.
    • Gate No-88 Ghat:- Small vehicles of Chhathvratis coming to this ghat will go up to the ghat and arrangements will be made to park the vehicles in the designated parking spot near the ghat.
    • Gate No- 83 Ghat (Digha):- Small vehicles of Chhathvratis/devotees coming to this ghat will go up to the ghat and will park their vehicle in the designated parking spot near the ghat. The roads leading to this ghat are narrow. For this reason you have to walk till the ghat. Trains will be allowed from this ghat only after the departure of Chhathvratis and devotees.
    • Kurji Ghat:- Small vehicles of Chhathvratis/devotees coming to this ghat will be entered from Kurji Gate and parked in the designated parking lot above Left Ganga Pathway.
    • LCT Ghats:- Small vehicles of Chhathvratis/devotees coming to this ghat will be parked in the parking provided north of the underpass.
    • Rajapur Pul Ghat:- Small vehicles of Chhathvratis/devotees coming to this ghat will be parked in the designated parking spot above the Ganga path inside the Rajapur bridge ghat.
    • Bansghat, Collectorate Ghat and Mahendru Ghat :- Due to the rise in the water level of the river Ganga, this time they have been declared as dangerous ghats. The district administration has refused to visit these three ghats. Directly blocked.
    • Patna College:- Vehicles of Chhathvratis/devotees going from Bari Path to Ashok Rajpath will go to Ashok Rajpath only from Khazanchi Road. The vehicle will have to be parked in Patna College ground and go on foot from there.
    • Science College:- All vehicles coming from Annie Besant Road, Ramna Road, Kunkun Singh Lane will park at Science College and from there Chhathvrati will park the vehicle and go to the Ghats on foot.

    Arrangement of new bypass and other routes

    • From 10 AM on 30th to 10 AM on 31st October, trucks coming from Barh/Mokama to Patna will take a U-turn from Fatuha overbridge, 2 km west, via NH-30 via Bihta-Sarmera road. During this period there will be no movement of trucks from the hill turn towards Didarganj.
    • City Bus Service:- Buses going from Bailey Road to Danapur or Khagaul via Patna Junction, GPO will not go to Gandhi Maidan under any circumstances. This vehicle will run from Patna Junction to its destination.

    The traffic plan was made keeping in mind the crowd that was rising in Chhath Mahaparv.
