On Tuesday evening, people mistook the surveillance team that came to trap the bribery inspector in Tajpur of Samastipur as a kidnapper. After this people got angry. They surrounded the vehicle of the surveillance team. Meanwhile, there was an argument for some time. The inspector also started arguing.

People were stopping the inspector from taking him. First the monitoring team tried to explain. But when people did not agree, the team showed the ID card. After this people moved away from the front. The video of this incident has surfaced on Wednesday. Inspector Vijay Shankar Shah, posted at Tajpur police station in the district, was arrested red-handed by the surveillance team on Tuesday evening while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

It has been told that as soon as the team under the leadership of Vigilance DSP Vikas Kumar Srivastava arrested Vijay and took him to sit in the vehicle, the inspector resisted. During which the surveillance team was forcibly taking him away. Seeing this, the local people thought that some criminal was kidnapping the inspector, on which a large number of people gathered in front of the surveillance vehicle. People started opposing it.

However, in the meantime, the officials of the vigilance called themselves members of the vigilance team and said that this sub-inspector is a bribe-taker and has been arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. Their office bearers also showed their ID cards. The people gathered there retreated after which the surveillance team took him and left for Patna.

Vigilance DSP Vikas Kumar Srivastava told that after the action his vehicle was surrounded by the people but when he introduced himself and showed the ID card, all the people retreated. He said that Inspector Vijay had killed a person after a fight in Chaksikandar village of Tajpur police station area in May this year. Instead of arresting the accused, the inspector was demanding bribe from the victim.
