At the same time, three miscreants on a bike overtake them and stopped them. After stopping, the miscreants started taking out the purse by attaching them with a weapon. On protesting by the Inspector, the miscreants opened fire on him and robbed the purse and pistol.
The bullet removed after being operated on in the hospital
After shooting, the bike-borne miscreants fled from there waving their weapons. People passing by informed the police. After getting the information, the police of Rohaniya police station immediately reached the spot. After that the injured inspector was taken to a private hospital located in Rohaniya area. In the hospital, the bullet in the right side of the chest of Inspector Ajay Yadav was operated and pulled out. The condition of the injured constable is said to be out of danger after the bullet was fired.
Checking started in all police station areas of the district
After receiving the information about the shooting of the police officer, a checking operation was started by the police in all the police station areas of Varanasi district. At the same time, after reaching the spot, the police officers took stock and the officers also questioned the injured inspector in the hospital.
