In fact, the triangular contest in the Bihar Assembly by-elections is getting interesting. Gopalganj assembly from 101 seat, where there was a contest between BJP and Mahagathbandhan candidates, but Indira Yadav, aunt of Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, has entered. Indira Yadav is the wife of former Gopalganj MP Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav. Who is the brother of Rabri Devi, wife of RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav and uncle of Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. Indira Yadav is in the fray on a BSP ticket. If Indira Yadav is to be believed, her fight is with the BJP. He told that he is asking the public for an opportunity once, so that the rest of the work can be done.

Let us inform that Indira Yadav is contesting for the second time from Gopalganj assembly. She had earlier contested as an independent in 2005. Indira Yadav’s in-laws are in Sailar Kala of Phulwaria Vidhan Sabha and her maternal uncle is in Arar Mohalla of Gopalganj Assembly. Earlier, in the assembly elections held in 2020, Sadhu Yadav had contested from BSP and gave a tough fight to BJP MLA Late Subhash Singh. In BJP, Subhash Singh got 77791 votes, while BSP candidate Sadhu Yadav got 41039 votes.

At the same time, Asif Ghafoor, grandson of former Bihar CM Abdul Ghafoor, who was the Congress candidate from the Grand Alliance, got only 36460 votes. In this way, the candidate of Mahagathbandhan became the third candidate and Sadhu Yadav came second. Gopalganj city’s big businessman Mohan Prasad Gupta has been made RJD candidate.

Kusum Devi, wife of Sadar MLA Late Subhash Singh, is trying her luck on a BJP ticket. Indira Yadav has landed with a strong candidacy as the third candidate between these two candidates and filed her nomination papers today i.e. on October 12. After the arrival of Indira Yadav, there is a possibility of a triangular fight in the Gopalganj assembly by-election. For the by-elections, the Election Commission has given candidates a chance to file their nominations till October 14. Voting is to be held on November 3 and the result will be released after counting of votes on November 6. After which it will be clear who will have the crown on his head and who will face defeat.
