Suffocating pollution: The air quality of the city is very poor every other day for two months

The pollution in the city has increased to such an extent that people are suffocating due to it. In the last two months, the air quality has been very bad every other day. According to the Bulletin of the Pollution Control Board, the average AQI of the city was recorded at 312 on Sunday as well. In Mithanpura and MIT areas, the maximum AQI was 419 i.e. in the Savior category. Due to this, it becomes difficult to breathe for those who come out on the roads. In fact, the air is becoming poisonous since morning. People going out for morning walk to make health are swallowing dust and poisonous gas.

According to the doctors, instead of being in good health, people are falling ill. The situation can be gauged from the fact that out of 60 days between September 27 and November 27, the air quality was extremely poor on 26 days. Other days also recorded in the vicinity of Puar. The average AQI in MIT area was 243 and the maximum was 419. Whereas, the average AQI was 357 and the maximum was 397 in Mithanpura area.
