STF team raided in electricity theft cases

Aurangabad: In order to stop electricity theft in Madanpur block of the district, the team caught nine people stealing electricity in Salaiya and Madanpur police station areas in continuous raids by the Electricity Board and in the case of illegal use of electricity stolen. A case of theft was registered. While fines have been imposed. The STF team was led by Assistant Electrical Engineer Santan Kumar Kaushal. The team included Assistant Engineer Shivratan Lal, Junior Engineer Rakesh Kumar Ram and Male Table Ranjit Kumar, Manpower Chittaranjan Kumar Sinha of Madanpur Dev Electricity Supply Branch.

The team conducted surprise raids in Bardih of Mahuawan Panchayat and investigated the houses being used by theft without taking electricity connection. Basant Kumar, a resident of Bardih, has been fined Rs 38,782 for being caught stealing electricity. Vishnupad Yadav has been fined Rs 38,782, Devpujan Prasad Rs 15,451, Pintu Yadav Rs 15,451, Pankaj Yadav and Ram Padarath Yadav Rs 15,451.

Here STF team raided Narkapi village. Here, investigations were carried out in three houses in which electricity was being used illegally. Narkapi resident Ramraj Mistry has been fined Rs 11,087 for bypassing the meter and Akhilesh Sharma for using electricity Rs 22,748, Kashi Sharma for using electricity without connection Rs 17,451.

Assistant Electrical Engineer Santan Kumar Kaushal, who is leading the STF, told that the people who have not taken the electricity connection should get the connection soon. Intensive raids and investigations are being done to stop electricity theft. People are also being appealed to avoid stealing electricity.
