In Bhagalpur, a video of another house merging in water has surfaced after seeing the erosion of the Ganges. This video is really painful. Where in ‘Slowly-Slowly’ (slowly) a pucca house is falling in the water. The people present had no other option but to see this sight. One of them captured a video in his mobile phone. Now this video is becoming very viral in the district like every time.

When we investigated this viral video, it came to know that this video is from Tintanga Diara of Rangara block of Bhagalpur, where about 12 houses have been washed away in erosion in the last 8 days. Here in the last two days, about 5 houses have been absorbed in the Ganges. These include the houses of Yogendra Thakur, Rajkumar Thakur, Vijay Thakur, Dinkar Mandal, Rajesh Mandal. According to the villagers, the erosion is going on for 4 to 5 months. However, the erosion had stabilized in the middle for the past one month. But once again due to the rise in the water level of the Ganges, erosion is happening fast. Even now there are many such houses which are standing on the verge of coming under erosion.

Administration assured compensation
On this matter, CO Ashish Kumar told that people whose houses have been merged in water. They will be compensated soon. After getting their paperwork done, they are being sent forward. At the same time, he told that the engineers of flood fighting are trying their best to stop this incident. He said that Engineer Saheb is making every effort to stop the erosion according to his own accord. Where there is a technical need, work is being done.
