Sadar SDO Vijayant Kumar and SDPO Sweety Sehrawat along with more than 60 police personnel raided the Aurangabad Divisional Jail in Aurangabad district on early Friday morning, which created a stir among the inmates of the Divisional Jail. Prisoners began to hide their narcotics. One by one the soldiers searched the wards of the prisoners. Along with this, kitchen ward, hospital, toilet etc. were also examined.

A total of 12 khaini and chuna pudiya were recovered during investigation in Mandal Jail. Apart from this, no objectionable material was recovered. In such a situation, strict instructions were given to the jail superintendent. It was also ordered to check the goods sent from outside properly, so that no objectionable goods could go inside. Let us inform that this surprise raid was done on the instructions of DM Saurabh Jorwal and SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra by a team of district level and block level officials under the leadership of Sadar SDO-SDPO. The SDO said that surprise checks of the jail are done from time to time. So that no objectionable material can go inside the jail. Sadar BDO Kumar Raviraj, Sadar CO Anshu Kumar Singh, Navinagar BDO-CO, Kutumba CO, Dev BDO-CO and other police officers and jawans were present during the surprise inspection.
