The miscreants set fire to the vehicles of a candidate contesting for the post of Ward Councilor from Barbigha Municipal Council in front of his house. JCB, Scorpio, Bolero and tractor were burnt to ashes in this incident. Property worth Rs 30 lakh was burnt to ashes in the incident. This incident happened late on Saturday night.
It is feared that due to rivalry, someone has sprinkled petrol and set the fire. JCB, Scorpio, tractor and Bolero vehicles were parked in front of the house of Bihari Kumar, a resident of Koiribigha, who was contesting the election of Ward Councilor in Barbigha Municipal Council area, near Barbigha Bypass Road. In the middle of the night, unknown miscreants set it on fire.
Tractor and JCB also suffered heavy damage.
Scorpio and Bolero were completely gutted. While tractor and JCB also suffered huge damage. In this regard, Barbigha Police Station President cum Police Inspector Sunil Dutt said that the incident is being investigated. No written complaint has been received by the victim regarding the incident to the police. Prompt action will be taken after receiving the complaint.
