JEDDAH — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan held a meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh during the International Conference on Women in Islam in Jeddah.
Prince Faisal conveyed greetings from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, expressing sincere wishes for progress and prosperity in Bangladesh.
The discussions during the meeting focused on reviewing and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, with a commitment to serving the mutual interests of their people.
Additionally, they addressed the developments in the Gaza Strip and its vicinity, emphasizing efforts for a ceasefire and the necessity of establishing secure corridors for the swift and safe entry of humanitarian aid to prevent a humanitarian disaster.
The two sides also delved into key topics raised at the International Conference on Women in Islam, underscoring the importance of supporting initiatives dedicated to the development and empowerment of women.
In a separate meeting, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan engaged with Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi also on the sidelines of the conference in Jeddah.
The discussions encompassed the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip, ceasefire efforts to protect civilians, and the vital need for secure channels to facilitate the entry of urgently required humanitarian aid.
Moreover, the ministers explored avenues to enhance both bilateral and multilateral cooperation, aligning their efforts to further the interests of their respective nations.
The International Conference on Women in Islam remained a focal point, with the two sides emphasizing the significance of the topics presented during the event.
