Sheikhpura. After the death of a dead old woman on the Sheikhpura-Mahuli main road under Arriari block of the district on Wednesday night, the vehicle of the people traveling on a vehicle going for the last rites collided with a tractor coming from the front. More than a dozen people aboard the vehicle were injured. Those injured in the incident have been brought to the Sadar Hospital Sheikhpura as soon as the information is received by the police for treatment. The police have also taken the help of an ambulance to take the injured to the hospital.

It has been told in the information received in this regard that after the death of the mother of Jaleshwar Manjhi of Kamalpur village under Mahuli OP area, her body was being taken by the villagers to the banks of the Ganges at Simaria in Begusarai district for the last rites. Two passengers were carrying the body in a vehicle. Meanwhile, after moving some ahead from the village, a vehicle collided with the trolley of the tractor while trying to avoid the tractor coming in the opposite direction near a petrol pump located near Rampur village.

The police took the injured Rohan Kumar, 17 years, Valeshwar Manjhi 60 years, Shubham Kumar 25 years, Indrapal Bhuyan 65 years and others to Sadar Hospital. Due to the critical condition of the injured, Inderpal Bhuyan and Rohan Kumar, the doctors referred them to Pavapuri for better treatment. While two others are being treated in the hospital. In this regard, Ariyari Police Station President Arvind Kumar said that the remaining minor injured in the incident are being treated at the local hospital. He said that the police reached the spot and seized both the vehicles involved in the accident.
